28-09-19 // bottle shared at Mon Petit Cafe Suttgart on Zwanze Day 2019. Bottle from the Brauart brewers cellar. This is how a smoke lambic could have tasted Cantillon ;) Lovely peaty and smokey aroma on a mild weizenbofy. Tart fruits. Some wood. Great.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear deep golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of peated malt, smoke. Taste of tart fruits, peated malt, wood, grapes, interesting!

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing this bottle! Fantastic peated nose. The beer starts fantastic sour and deep. Mild smooth sourness with a fantastic peated back. The sourness is very mild, round and refreshing, the peat adds a deeper warming character to the beer. Round and fresh sourish in the aftertaste with a nice layer of peat and hints of warming alcohol. Great stuff!

17/VII/17 - 75cl bottle (€16) from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ the tasting without Jon (home) - BB: n/a, bottled: 1/III/14 (2017-1043)
Clear orange beer, creamy irregular white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very very peated (which is surprising as I've had a peated lambic before from Uli which had practically no smoke left in it, because the brett had eaten it all), very fruity, funky, lots of lambic. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty smoky, peated, funky, sourish, some apricots, bit metallic. Aftertaste: sourish, pretty lemony, quite some tannins, nice stuff!

@ Lambic and sour ale Sunday. Hazy yellow, white foam. Nose of banana, peat, citrus. Funky lambic like weizen. Subtle peaty flavours. I like it.

750 ml bottle at Gueuze tasting 2016, Ulfborg. Clear yellow golden color with white head. Yeasty aroma, light funky dusty, grassy, citrusy, smoked - peat. Sweet and bitter taste, strange but nice. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ MEUG. Clear golden, little off-white. Nose is huge massive plastic – yup the peat, lots of it with big basic sour lemon lambic, dash vinegar. Taste is the same, really big plastic, lots of it, peated earth, finish is big very basic sour lemon, dash vinegar. Substantial lambiek body. Very simple, pretty much what it promises to be, massive peat albeit in a very plastic fashion, lambiek is very basic. Way too much plastic for me personally, touch medicinal, not really for me but it is what it set out to be.
