Obwohl als Reiterstandbild immer präsent, war das gleichnamige sächsische Spitzenbier für geraume Zeit aus heimatlichen Gefilden verschwunden. Nun aber ist es nach Sachsen zurückgekehrt - würziger, leckerer und delikater denn je: Das typisch sächsische Spitzenbier "Goldner Reiter".

Many thanks to kappldav for sharing! Smooth grainy. Fresh with lots of bitterness. Great typical Pils, lots of deep neutral bitterness, crisp Pils, round and fresh and great sessionable!

And another 0,5 l botttle out of the last big box from kappldav123. Thanks a lot, mate! Clear golden in the glass, nearly three finger off white head! Nothin´ on the nose. Taste starts low malty, some grain way behind in the background, hints of citrus. Mid bitterness. Metallic elements in the aftertaste. Unimportant.

Pours golden with a fluffy, off-white head. Aroma of pale malts and light floral hops. Flavor pretty standard for the style.

previously tested at German BTO 08/2006: Schöne Flasche mit Etikett, auf dem der berühmte Goldene Reiter Dresdens abgebildet ist (es heißt aber Goldner Reiter, ohne e). Schmeckt wie ein tschechisches Lager, ziemlich malzbetont, sehr angenehm. Schaum nicht zuviel, aber ok, feinporig. Gut!
