Mocha beer in colour with a thick beige cream head. Roast coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. Deep flavours of roast malt, mocha in a velvety smooth body, bitter finish with lingering notes of roasted malts, caramel and coffee.

Cask at the Monks Retreat (JDW), Reading. An attractive deep magohany colour, with a loose coffee coloured head; aroma of Nescafe Gold Blend; the taste starts with dry malts, then purple fruit, then some milky coffee; then some chocolate to finish. Rather good, and the coffee is not overdone.
