This oatmeal stout was brewed with seven different malts and a few generous additions of Bramling Cross hops during the boil. Much as we like the dark fruit flavour of Bramling Cross it’s always somewhat lacking in the aroma department, so we enlisted the help of Bravo, Citra, Mosaic & Simcoe after fermentation to make things a little more interesting.

Gravicask, third at Swindon's 33rd Annual Beer Festival. Shared with Finn. A beige head blanketing the glass. Jet black body. Attractive aromas of dark malts, hints of mid-sweet chocolate malts. Well blended taste of oatmeal, dark chocolate and a twist of pine needles to the finish. Fine depth. Tasty, well made stout. (26.10.2019).

Fra gravicask. Delt med Rune på Swindon´s 33rd annual Beer Festival 2019. Svart. Mokkafarget filmskum. Aroma av kirsebær & røstet malt. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Smaken plommer, lakris & sjokolade. Melkesjokolade i avslutninga. Veldig bra!

A proper hoppy and roasty stout, guess some will call it an india stout. Bitter, roasty, smooth, hint of malty sweetness, but mostly a ton of hops. Something citrussy, something floral, big bunch of resin. Lovely balance and mouthfeel, very nice for ABV.

Black beer, thick off-white head. Toasty malt scent, a little hop in there too. taste has bitter chocolate, malt, hops and a good coffee hit to it which lasts into the aftertaste as well. A slight nuttiness that isn't to my taste but it's pretty good.

Black, tan bubbly head
Aroma of rich dark ssweet malts, sweet dark chocolate, chocolate sponge cake
Taste of rich dark chocolate malts, mellow roast, chocolate cake, very light zesty hops, bit of grassy hops
Palate - Medium to full body, rich texture, smooth, light bitter form the hops. Finish - rich fairly sweet dark malt, soft chocolate
Overall - Definitely a hoppy stout than a BIPA, really good flavours, better than the SMAC mess

(Cask at White Horse, Parson's Green, London, 26 Nov 2017) Black colour with dense, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and citrus. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, citrus, grapefruit, pine needles and a balanced citric, piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made stout, with lots of fresh hops. Very nice.

[ As Arbor The Devil Made Me Brew It ].Clear dark black brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, pine, citrus, dark malt, licorice - wood. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160807] 8-4-8-4-16
