Tap at Craft Beer Bar Yokohama. Amber coloured, small off-white head. Aroma is malty, bit sweet but not too much, touch of fruit there too. Taste is slightly sweet, bit of caramel, touch of spice in the background, little bit fruity, feels sticky somehow. Apples and bit of cherry. Satisfyingly crisp. Spicy toffee apple? I am starting to appreciate Baeren more I think. Everything they do tastes good.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a light brown / copper with a nice fluffy white head. Caramel, grass, cinnamon and coriander on the nose. Taste is lightly spiced and sweet. Very malt forward with some light pepperiness on the finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Fest Bier on 10 Oct 2015 at 21:31 - Score: 6

6% bottle from the brewery via Rakuten. Lovely clear amber pour with a thick off-white head. The aroma is slightly grainy, sweet, a bit of graham notes. The nose reminds me of an English ale. The taste is malty, biscuity while the finish is a clean bitterness and a bit of a grainy vegetal note in the finish, pretty good. Served at 11C. Once it warmed up you got more caramel/toffee coming through.

2009 version, draught at Q-Brick. Rich, sweet malts, rather fruity and somewhat ale-like. Big and smooth, but rather well balanced and much better than the bottle. 2008 version. Bottle from Yamaoka 6/3/7/3/14. Malty, cereal/bread aroma, fruity, with hops. slightly light/thin color for a fest. Very fruity, hoppy flavor. Somewhat light, but decent bready malts and not too sweet. Rather light, crisp palate. Tasty and refreshing, with nice hops and good balance, but not exactly my notion of a festbier. A bit too light.
