Tap at Gar Eden. Dark brown colour, with golden creamy head. Aroma is nice and roasty, touch of sweetness. Taste is coffee, cream, vanilla, bit fruity too, bit burnt, kola kubes. Pretty nice. Quite smooth. Slight bitterness at end.

A Japanese stout that knows what's up? Is my tongue deceiving me? Wow. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dry Stout on 17 Nov 2018 at 22:31 - Score: 8. Original review text: Quite good. I generally don't love Irish dry stouts (Guinness? no thanks), but this one is a bit more interesting and tasty.

Bottle. Black with a tan head. Aroma is roasty with mocha that’s more dark chocolate than coffee, cream. Medium bodied, mouthfilling enough for me. Smooth with low carbonation but a slightly minerally feel means it’s not silky or creamy. Coffee is more prominent in the taste but there’s firm roast, light spices and good chocolate. A little licorice. Fairly high bitterness for this sort of thing. Pretty good.

330ml bottle from Liquors Hasegawa in Tokyo. Poured into an English tulip pint. Dark black with a thin tan head. Strong bitter coffee aroma present with a bit of burnt smell. Dry as a bone on the palate with more bitterness and burnt coffee coming through. Not really that interesting. --- Beer merged from original tick of Stout on 09 Aug 2015 at 23:01 - Score: 5

04/04/2014 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Nera, densa, schiuma biancastra sporca media. Corpo è esile, leggermente watery, carbonazione bassa. Discreta.

On tap at Molto Stand. It pour a dark black/brown with a nice tan head & mnimal aroma. The flavor was burnt or roasted coffee beans with some toffee notes. A fairly run of the mill stout.

Bottle at the 5th Annual Epic Beer Tasting in Richmond, VA, November 28, 2010. Pours nearly black with ruby highlights. Large tan frothy head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malts with a sweet finish. The taste is very dry roasted malts, smoke and caramel. Very strongly carbonated. Medium bodied. Nice.
