750mL bottle from yourilevesque, drunk 8/5/16.
Pretty strong gusher, despite a good rest in the fridge for many months (this must be a 2015 bottling or early 2016 at most). Beige head is very well-retained atop a dark golden-bronze body with good clarity and plentiful, fine carbonation.
Lots of brett in the nose throwing out tart, tangy lime, horseblanket and just a touch of soapiness. There’s a bit of oak in there, as well as a strong wine character. It all seems quite intense, with lots of perfume-like character, tart acids, sharp fruits and tannins galore. The malt underneath is not lacking, adding light bread, hints of caramel and good base honey.
But it’s quite attenuated in the mouth; not too much so I’d say, but probably a bit lighter/drier than all of this wine, oak and brett acid would warrant. Nonetheless, it’s not really messy and there are delightful notes of succulent lime, honey and delicate floral notes that arise from time-to-time, underneath the heavy wine element. Heavy carbonation, but giving it time, it becomes quite tight and controlled, helping give a perceived, much-needed creaminess to the texture. Tons of fruitiness, as well. Just a bit too much tanginess from wood, wine, brett, and hop leading to a bit of palate fatigue.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks zvikar. Nice cloudy yellow with a white head. Great aroma, funky, woody, vinous, with earth and fruits. Dry flavor, tart, with funk, oak, some wine, fruits, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Great, fresh.

Draft @ ML Fontainas, 3ième fête de la St Jean, shared with Rlgk and _Angst_.

Bottle. Pours hazy butterscotch, very large off-white head, dissipates slowly, good lacing. Aroma is very nice Brett forward, funky, dank basements, loads of oak tannin, hints of dust and black pepper. Flavor is dry, medium clean Brett funk, oaky, fruity and a bit vinous. Medium body, high carbonation. Good.

750 c&c shared by Marcus. Pours very hazy orange gold with a strange tinged head. Aroma is sourish orange/peach. Med minus body. Flavor is sourish orange/peach/apricot. It’s very smoothly sour. Gets a bit earthy/woody, and there is a Brett flavor suggestion. It’s really enjoyable.

Bottle at the Sovereign. Gusher! Cloudy golden yellow color, massive white head with good retention and solid lacing. Nice aroma of dusty overripe peaches, black pepper and rotten fruit scattered around some barnyard somewhere. Taste is softly sour stone fruit with peppery, dusty tannins and rotten grapes. Delicious.
