(On tap during Zwanze Day/Funk Night @ barVolo, Sept 20, 2014) Pours a nearly clear gold with a huge pillowy lasting white head. Aroma very complex, fruity citrus flesh, mango, pineapple, red wine, Brett funk, pale wheat malt. Lovely. Palate has pale ale character at first, citrus rind and pulp with leafy hops. Grain character shows up in the middle, almost creamy but still fruity with barrel and Brett characters solely in support. Finish pretty dry, lightly woody, smoky Brett, some grain and lingering moderate hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with high but effervescent carb. I thought this was fantastic, still really hop forward with a fair bit of Brett, American farmhouse/wild style, the two base beers, barrel and bugs working in harmony to great effect. This could be a regular drinker for me if availability and price allowed.

5.5% Assemblage 1 an opaque deep gold slightly paler than the saison reserve. It has a big fresh saison aroma with an almost celery quality to it. The taste is tart fruity sour saison. Very very nice. The saison reserve seems a bit flatter while the assemblage 1 seems more sparkly and vibrant.

Bottle shared at the 2014 tasting in the Cellar of Moeder Lambic Saint-Gilles. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of cat pee, weedy hops and light Brett. Flavor is light sweet, light to moderate bitter. Brett coming out a lot more in the palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of tart and sour notes with some light vinous notes. Taste is a wonderful mix between some sour notes with light funky notes with some oak and light vinous notes. Body is about full for style with good carbonation. Nice mix between some drinkability and complexity with balanced level of acidity.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth sour ale with lactic acid notes, cherries, powdery, nice. In mouth, a nice fruity malt with Brett, sour cherries, light buttery notes, nice. Bottle from GRM.

750mL bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks a lot Dany), pours a hazy bright golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out lots of brett upfront, with considerable floral hops, and maybe a touch of the wine barrels but not much - great aromatics. Flavour brings out a wonderful marriage of brett, white wine barrels, and spicy floral hops - absolutely exquisite mix of these three notes. It begins on the brett, then transitions into the spicy hoppy goodness, leaving a spicy, hoppy, and vinous finish. An absolute stunner by Dunham. Amazing stuff.

Bouteille 750ml. Couleur miel pâle semi-translucide, mousse blanc cassé crémeuse laissant une dentelle éparse. Arôme de brett, vineux, céréales, agrumes et boisé léger. Goût de brett, raisin, pamplemousse juteux, bonne amertume, miel léger, boisé léger en fin de bouche, agrumes en arrière-goût. Carbonation moyenne, corps moyen. Encore une fois Dunham frappe fort avec cette cuvée spéciale. Pourquoi en ai-je qu’une seule bouteille? Vivement le prochain assemblage!
