Bottle, shared by bergstaden. A hazy, dark orange colored beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head leaving some lacing. The aroma is lightly vinous, with some berries, tannins, cellar and wood. It’s full-bodied and lightly warming, with a soft carbonation. Fruityness, some tropical fruits, sugary sweetness, woody hints, tannins and a faint cellar tough. Bitterness and alcohol towards the sweet, fruity finish. Overall a bit too warming, but sure a nice one anyway. 151010

330 ml bottle sample at Kjetil’s farewell party. Slightly hazy amber body with a moderate sized off-white head. Nice mature aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, mild whisky and wood. Flavor is sweet, smooth malt, caramel, dry fruit, smooth, sweet whisky, warming alcohol, wood and moderate but balancing bitterness. Fine balanced body and long aftertaste. Well aged profile, very tasty, perfectly balanced, super smooth. Extremely happy to finally have the opportunity to taste this one.

330ml bottle from Slowbeer. The bottle almost exploded over me but that might have been me... Pours amber. Sweet and malty nose, but not too much. Hints of cognac, well balanced, easily drinkable tripel.

Pours orange, hazy amber. Apple cider. Aroma has some delicate alcohol, grapes. Taste is also great, has trippel sweetness, candy sugar, bit yeasty. Warming, sticky and sweet. Hint of alcohol, in a good way. Nice, leaves some sharp stings on the tongue. I like it better than the first version.
