12 oz. bottle, brought to Ale Alpharetta by Hamp. 2011 Bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow, with no head. The nose is tart and bitter lemon peels, sprite, some light resin, some farmyard funk, and a strange note of tar on the finish. Harshly bitter, lightly sour, and nicely dry. Light to medium body, dry and astringent, and a little clingy. Overall, this is a very interesting and complex beer. Light, very dry, but too funky and assertive to be considered ’refreshing’. I’m okay with that, though.

12 oz. bottle, sent from pantanap (thanks a lot, Kan), pours a hazy golden orange with a small-medium white head. Nose is very funky, bringing out moderate acetic notes, barnyard funk, and some tart light fruit skins - exceedingly complex aromatics. Flavour brings out moderate-to-high tartness from light fruit skins, some low-to-medium funkiness, a lemon tang, and medium acidity. Really wonderful blend and well-crafted here. It doesn't really taste like a lambic, but more of an American sour with some lambic influences. Highly complex and drinkable, despite being high carbonation. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle, 12/23/2011 - thanks Deyholla! Pours hazy golden amber with a small fizzy off-white head that dissipates quickly with a bit of lacing. Aroma is tart - bretty yeast, horse blanket, funk, lemon. Flavor is about the same, lightly tart, only a bit of sweetness, with a lingering dry tart finish. Very little astringence from the wood. Quite tasty!
