As Chouffe Soleil 150 with a special label that is quite cool featuring Mt. Fuji and a pagoda in honor of 150 years of friendship between Japan and Belgium. Served in a tulip it pours an opaque soft honey gold with a thick down like white head. The aroma is a soft citrus and spicy wheat which sets my mouth watering. The taste is soft chewy wheat, citrus, light spicing and a subtle hop bitterness in the finish. A very nice summer beer plus the label is great.

Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a slightly hazy orangish-gold with a finger of head that dissipates almost instantly. Belgian yeast nose with fruit esters of pear, peach and banana with a touch of cinnamon. More pear on the palate with some bubblegum and pear lifesaver notes. Starts out sweet and ends with a peppery, dry finish. Well-carbonated. I quite like this for what it is.

Bottle, World Wine and Food, Shinjuku. Hazy gold, large and very white head. Aroma of orange and lemon zest, light dough, mild spices. Not as yeasty as suggested by the aroma and dominated by citrus. Finish is quite clean really and there’s some white pepper along with the citrus.

33cl bottle from Alko. Pours cloudy golden color with a thin white head. Farmhouse elements in aroma, dried apricots and lime notes. Refreshing stuff. Citrusy flavor, floral notes, hops, banana esters. Hoppy dry finish. Lingering finish. Lovely, fruity fresh summery brew. Could drink this all day.

Pours clear yellow with a frothy white head. The aroma contains fruits, citrus, yeast, wheat, grass and herbs. It tastes medium sweet and medium to light bitter. A hoppy and wheaty finish. Thin body, light carbonation. Quite simple but okay.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle, best before February 2017. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a white head. Sweetish-fruity, slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, cloves, citrus, elderflower and peach. Sweetish-fruity, yeasty-spicy taste of banana, cloves, citrus, elderflower and peach, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice!
