Did the flavors of sugar and bitter sweet almonds and coffee in Imperial Biscotti Break also make you sentimental? Now we topped it off with insane amounts of doughnuts. This all time American favorite is making it’s way back into the spotlight and we at Evil Twin Brewing are not letting a tasty trend pass us by without taking it to the next level. Drink it with great gusto - Forza Doughnuts.

Bottle 65 cl. Black with a lightbrown head. Lots of chocolate aroma, with some coffee sense. Sweet taste, light bitter with a long soft chocolate end. Old notes...

Draught at Apex, Portland
Black color, creamy brown head. Full roasty aroma, with something more, like the icing on a doughnut. Full bodied; the malt expresses a good chocolate flavor, some coffee, but there is a candy exogenous element that clashes with the rest.
Weird, not completely pleasant, and grossly overpriced (7$ for 6oz, that I didn’t pay).

Tap at Local Option. Chewy cocoa chocolate Stout, has that creamy Scandinavian feel. Smooth and roasty. Clean and drinkable, not as robust or wild as I had hoped for. Still a quality beer, just seems a more or less standard Scandinavian inspired Imperial Stout. Brown chocolate brownie notes. Good.

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Black with small dark brown highlights and small light brown head. Aroma is roasty, medium body, medium carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is roasty, coffee, herbal hops, and dry licorice finish.

On tap at Tap and Handle. Thick black appearance with a dark brown head. Aroma is chocolate syrup, vanilla, and sugar. A little gooey texture. Very cloying. I suppose you can get some glamor of glaze. It’s mostly chocolate, sugar, and garbage. Sort of cool for an ounce then it’s super sugary and boozy.

On tap at What’s Brewing. Black as the original sin, with a finger-thick tan head leaving some lacings. The aroma has lots of molasses and brown sugar, with some dark chocolate and mocha. It’s lightly hop bitter on the palate, full-bodied, soft and lightly warming. Molasses, dark sugars, mocha and chocolate in the flavor, quite sweet. Everlasting finish. An intense and lovely beer, perhaps a tad sweet and dark malts only, but sure a beer I would love to repeat. A bottle on my own would be nice too. 141101
