Clear purple brown beer, no head. Aroma: caramel, sweet, raisins, dried fruits, vanilla. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: bit watery, little bitter, roasted, coffee, mocha. Aftertaste: coffee, roasted stuff, bitter touch, something unpleasant, earthy, slightly sour.

Had this at Borefts BF, Bodegraven, Netherlands, Friday 26th September 2014. Dark brown looks like oxo peeling away to a mid brown at edges. A touch meaty on the nose. Twangy in the mouth, fruity but the oxo reference is fine because the barrel ageing does give this meaty edge. A little sour edge, its good but easily bettered by the Spaghetti Western.
