Bottle, 6.66%. Very dark brown with medium beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and hop. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, little dark fruit, hops, notes of grapefruit and medium bitter.

20/02/2016 @home - 33cl bottle from BBP, Brussels. Brown black colour with big tanned head. Nose is lost of exotic fruits with hints of roast in the back. Taste is first smooth some mocha, immediately exotic fruits, some sweetness, light hops bitterness and dry enjoyable bitter ending with coffee and hops. Great!

Bottle at home, 11th February 16. Black, some fluffy head. Aroma is citrus hop, cocoa. Taste is full, lots going on, citrus, burnt malts, cocoa, slight liquorice, smoke. Nice BIPA

Meegebracht van de biertempel in Brussel door mijn zoon op 30-10-2015. En thuis geproefd op 23/01/2016. Dark Sister is een zwart en wazig bier dat bij het uitschenken veel amber-beige kleurig schuim geeft, dit heeft een rotsachtige-slagroomige struktuur, het is stabiel en sterk wandklevend. Het aroma is zoet, wat gebrand bitter, gebrande mout en tropisch fruit. De basissmaak is bitter en wat zoet, verder ook nog chocolade, koffie, gebrande mout en ook nog iets van een zwart gebakken rozijn. In de mond is Dark Sister bitterdroog, heeft hij een volmondige struktuur en een volle smaak. Hij is wel wat platjes wegens weinig koolzuurgas. Dark Sister geeft een ietwat complex en samentrekkend gevoel. De nasmaak vloeit zeer lang uit is bitter tot zeer bitter en wat zoet. 0,33l bottle at home. BB 23/07/2017. dark brown color, rather big tan head. smells very nice of grass, citric fruits, grapefruit, mango, lemon grass, light sweetness, quite nice smell, but where is the roast?? full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes again quite citric, grapefruit, light sweetness, mango, light grass, lemon grass, a bit earthy, light licorice. finishes light bitter with notes of lemon grass, grass and light earthy notes. quite nice beer, I prefer some more dark beer elements in my Black IPAs, but this one is still very nice and great to drink.

Bottle from Taniguchi. Nose of chocolate, lemon, orange, some licorice, wood, light roast. Dark brown with orange tints and a huge, airy head. Woody, roasty flavor, dry, with coffee, chocolate, orange, grass. More roasty than I like for the style, with a bit of Belgian yeast spiciness. Nice fruitiness. Ok.

KØLF 161015. Dark brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is pine, roasted malt, caramel, sugar. Flavour is pine, roasted malt, caramel, sugar, chocolate, citrus, grapefruit. Bitter finish, Nice beer.

Flaska från demolenbeershop. En söt fruktig doft. Mörka vingummin, coca cola, torkad frukt, coffee drops/kaffelikör. Småbubblig munkänsla som de flesta mörka belgare. Mjuk, rund och fruktig med medelstor men rund beska. Belgofruktighet i mörk tappning med en hyfsad dos humle. En väldigt annorlunda svart IPA. Men riktigt gott.
