Our Kentucky Irish Red Ale is aged for up to six weeks in freshly decanted bourbon barrels from some of Kentucky’s finest distilleries. Subtle, yet familiar, flavors of vanilla and oak are imparted to this special ale as it rests in the charred barrels. Pleasantly smooth and robust, Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale may also be served as an aperitif or after-dinner drink. Launched in 2006, it has grown to become the flagship beer of the premier name in barrel-aged beers: Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co.

Gedronken tijdens een proeverijtje. Amberkleurig helder bier. Aroma is fruitig en koffieachtig. Smaak is zoetig maar ik mis de houtachtige Bourbon smaak. Nasmaak is licht hoppig.

Bottle shared at tasting. Clear dark golden color, medium sized white head. Don't get much aroma but that might be due to me having caught a cold. Flavor I must say though is also quote bland if you ask me. Malts, sweetish, don't get bourbon tbh. Meh.

From the bottle. Gold with a frothy white head that soon fades. Aroma of oak, vanilla and bourbon. Taste is mildly sweet with subtle notes of vanilla icing. Dry and a touch watery at the finish. An easygoing sipper.

Orange beer, small head. Aroma is bourbon, wood, malt, alcohol. Taste is the same, sweet, alcohol, smooth, nice.

8 3 7 3 15Draft at Bierlokaal De Uiver. Amber with an off white head. Aroma of bourbon, oak, vanilla, caramel and fruity notes. Flavour is heavy sweet and light bitter. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

12oz bottle pours out amber topped with a small head. Nose is nice bourbon forward notes a little vanilla cream and wood. Taste is more of the nice bourbon notes some roast malts and spice.

Aus der Flasche beim Berlin Beer Week 2015 - Closing Event auf der Baustelle der Stone Brewing Berlin 2015-07 getrunken. Dieses Ale kommt wirklich sehr kräftig rüber. Das Bourbon BA bringt eine tolle Karamell und Honignote ins Bier was die Hopfenaroma entgegenwirkt. Toll!
