Aroma of malt, bourbon, oak, ripe fruity notes, floral notes. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. It’s mostly Bourbon you get, the Saison seems to have been lost in it. Not balanced at all. Cool experiment, unfortunately the result leaves a lot to be desired.

Tap @ 1st Anniversary Kaapse Brouwers Festival. Golden color, hazy. Vinegar and vinous notes, vanilla. Soft vinegarry flavor with vanilla, oak and a hint of bourbon. Dry, fruity, complex, yet Not Totally in balance.

Draught @ Kaapse bierfestival. Pretty hazy orangy color, small to average sized off-white head. Smell and taste are both a bit weird, slightly metallic, a hint of orangepeel, some bitter. Weird stuff, not really my thing. Meh.

Draft @ Kaapse festival. Aroma of grassy lime and tart. Taste has some mildly sharp booze, grass, dry yeast and a little vanilla. Expected more vanilla due to the bourbon ba. Creative, weird beer.

Tap @ Kaapse Fest, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, short head. Aroma of oak wood, bit vanilla, citrus, tropical fruit, slight funky even, orange peel. Soft sweet in taste, fruity, bit dry in the finish. Nice.

Tap at Kaapse festival. Cloudy golden/orange with small white head. Wood, sweet berries, very herbal and some raw vegetables, some yeast and cognac. Light sweet with a tart touch. Medium bodied.

Draught @ [ Borefts After Festival 2014 ] @ Kaapse Brouwers, Veerlaan 19-D, Rotterdam, Netherlands 3072 AN. [ As Kaapse Brouwers Sjaan ].Hazy - murky matt medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, spicy, mold, yeast, apple, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, earthy, mold, green apple. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140928]

[9/28/14] Draught sample at Borefts After Festival 2014 in Rotterdam. Hazy gold. Aroma of fruity esters, light spiciness and a bit of hops. Sweetish flavor with fruity esters, a hoppy note, light bitterness and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied.
