Meal out with all the kids, first time since March 2019. Quite a nice beer to mark the rare occasion.

Bottle, 0.5l. Clear golden pour, half finger soapy white head, short lasting. Minimal lacing on the glass. Sweet malty nose with notes of grass, hay and ripe fruits. Medium body, soft but lively carbonation. Smooth mouthfeel and texture, soft and chewy, refreshing prickly. Balanced bittersweet taste, more on the sweet side with a touch of boozy bitterness. Aroma of caramel malt, lightly toasted, mild sugar, herbal candy. Ripe fruits, grains. Mild lingering alcohol, hints of spice. Slightly sticky. Medium lasting finish, slightly dry and boozy. Not bad.

To lower rated on here. It’s a fine enough beer, but nothing like a god german bock of course. A bit to Cara sweet, but cleanly brewed at least. Positano supermarket

Rocky white head left a steady cover on a clear dark golden still body. Malt, syrup & honey aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth & soft with lightly carbonated back. Syrup, malt, honey, sweet concentrated fruit & jam stewed fruit tastes. Decent but a bit heavy going.

Bottle. Clear dark gold with a white head that disappears almost immediately. Aroma of malts, grains and caramel. Taste of stale malts and grains, honey that was left by itself for too long. If neglect was a flavour… Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. More of a cheap Euro Lager vibe going on than resembling an actual Heller Bock. I pity fools like me who allow themselves to get duped by buzzwords like Gran Riserva or the posh bottle shape.
