Bottle, 0.33l. Pours pitch black with thin quickly diminishing light brown head and yeast residue. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, tobacco with light grainy note. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt and chocolate, follows by strong coffee, lactose and well hidden alcohol, mouthfeel is mild spicy and warming, while finish is light bitter. Full body, creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Aroma totally overpowered by coffee, while taste is brilliant...

Bootle from Kaapse Bottleshop. Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, bread, coffee, cacao, pipe tobacco, grass and wet cigar. Flavor is quite bitter roasted, loads of coffee and with a decent body. A bit strange, but quite drinkable.

33 cl bottle @ home. Bottled 10.06.2014
Weird vegetable-like aroma with cocoa. Also some mocha. Flavour has salty licorice, vegetables, some mocha and ash. Weird and unusual, too much vegetables here.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled 10-06-2014, thanks FatPhil, 20150721) The beer poured black. Its head was non-existent. Aroma had burnt malts, coffee and bell peppers. Palate was fll bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were coffee, burnt malts, sweetness, liquorice and bitterness. Aftertaste had sweetness, ash and bitteress. A complex brew with too much coffee compared to amount of other ingredients usegs.

Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Clear, cola brown. Lots of lumps. Halo of lasting, tan head. Woody, cocoa, vanilla, coffee malts. Some vine fruit. Taste is initially sweet, turning light, coffee bean bitter. Some ashy dryness. Smooth palate, with a little booze. Finishes with more of the coffee bitterness.
