Bottle: Clear, greenish-golden, smaller stable white lacy head, distinctive grassy and woody-hoppy nose with a solid pale-malty background; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, soft; lingering hoppy and pale-malty finish. Fine bavarian Pils......

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Mildly grainy aroma with grassy and slightly woody hops. Moderately bitter flavour with a discreet malty sweetness, light to medium bodied with a calm, almost creamy carbonation. Soft malty base with present hoppy notes; bitter and slightly sweet finish with a good dash of grassy and slightly woody hops. A rounded Pilsener. 14.IX.11

On tap at Brauereigasthof Bürgerbräu, Bad Reichenhall, Bavaria, Germany.
As Unser Bürgerbräu Das Pils Superior. Yellow coloured, creamy white head, usual pils nose. Slight malty, mild hoppy and cereals with grainy notes. Watery palate, short bitter finish. Nothing special here and certainly not superior.
