Kastanienbraune glanzklare Optik, fester feinporiger, sahniger Schaum. Malzaromatisch mit feinem Duft nach Karamell und Vollmilchschokolade, durchdrängt von Noten, die leicht an Biskuit und Haselnuss erinnern. Sanft moussierend im Antrunk mit einem vollen biegsamen röstmalzbetonten Körper. Der Abgang ist bitter-süß langanhaltend und harmonisch. Die hohe Stammwürze und der gut abgestimmte Röstmalzanteil sorgen bei dieser dunklen Spezialität mit seinem vollmundigen Körper für eine gute Balance zwischen Süße und Bittere und bereiten dem Genießer ein unvergessliches Trinkvergnügen.

25.08.16, buying it at the Kaufland Lörrach, drinking it at Lausanne, Prélaz, a regular Bavarian dunkel, good.

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Mild roasty malty notes. Starts mild, malty, mild roasty. Some hints of lquorice. Some woody notes. Finish could be a bit more balanced. Also light metallical notes. Okay.

bottle from the brewery's webshop. Brown with a mid-sized off-white to beige head. Bready and malty with hints of wholemeal bread, shy earthy hopy in the finish. Mild and shy.

pours dark chestnut colour with a small white head and little to no lacing. aroma is not very pronounced, some distant caramel. flavour coffee, dark chocolate, rye bread. light body, short finish. interesting and unusual dunkel. quite dry for its style which is definitely a plus.

Mild röstig süßer Beginn, frisch. Steigende, leicht hopfige Malzigkeit. Süffig, harmonisch. Gelungenes süffiges Dunkles. 9/11/10/9/8/9

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, nussig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, nussig, leicht würzig.

Pours a dark amber color with a short tan head. Aroma is malt, meds and roasted grain.

Bottle: Clear, amber coloured, small persistent off-white layer; moderate sweetish caramelly-toasty nose; as well sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; shorter - and less impressive - caramelly-bitter finish with a light metallic tinge. Drinkable......

Bottle. Chocolate toffee malt aroma with hint of hay. Clear medium brown color with small head. Slightly sweet toffee malt and mildly bitter herbal hops flavor. Light smoky aftertaste. Fairly light body. Overall pretty nice.
