Bottle shared tha ks to Laurent. Clear dark brown with big head. Caramel, chestnuts, light earthy, plum, bread crust. Medium sweet, a bit less bitter. Creamy medium bodied. Nice.

It is a regular and classical dunkel beer on the Bavarian way, a little bit smocked, malty, sweet, some hop, well balanced, not bad, 06.09.16, drinking it at Prélaz, buying it or at the Aligre place or in Freiburg am Breisgau.

50cl Fles van REWE Maichingen. Helder kastanjebruine kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Donker fruit, zoet-moutig, karamel, mooi randje gebrande mout en gebrande noten, hint van pure chocolade, vrij zoet, hoog Belgisch Dubbel-gehalte. Lichte body. Prima Dunkel.

Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, toasted malt. Hint of roast and nuts as well. Nice moderate bitterness, sweet too. Medium body. Good bitterness and aroma, would have liked a little less sweetness.

Bottle, 0.33l. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, grass and flowers. Pours clear ruby brown color with medium sized creamy tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with medium sweet caramel and dandelion syrup, following is lightly roasted and grassy, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Nice one…

330 ml bottle. Mahagoni red brown with a creamy head. Roasted malt, raisins, roasted nuts, citrus, toffee, caramel. Malty sweetness, dry zesty bitterness. Light bodied, watery texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty malty caramely sweet finish. Not a bad Dunkel, but lacks in body, flavor and bitterness, and is therefore another average Dunkel like many others...

Glasklares dunkles Mahagoni. Fängt röstmalzig süß an, im Endteil kommt herber Kaffee durch. Auch florale Noten sind ab dem Mittelteil erkennbar. Insgesamt überwiegen die röstig herben Nuancen. Nicht allzu viel Substanz, eher auf der süffigen, als der gehaltvollen Seite.

getrunken als kleines Leichtes für Zwischendurch. Allerdings konnte es mich nicht vollends überzeugen, da es zwar gemütlich zu trinken ist, aber es irgendwie an Körper fehlt. Die feinen maligen Aromen wirken da irgendwie verloren. Kann man trinken, aber braucht man nicht extra kaufen.
