Bottle picked up from Sedats Schlüggla Getrankemarkt, Schwaig bei Nürnberg and consumed at home, sat out in the garden in the company of Mum and Keith, Saturday 21st June 2025 (Summer Solstice) after a day in Passau, we had BBQ'd Persian Chicken, Cous Cous etc for tea. Poured mahogany in colour with an off white large frothy head. Malty aroma, caramel and toffee dominate Flavor also mostly waves of sweet maltiness, toffee and caramel, decent Doppelbock which I need to revisit as about a third of the way through, I decided I didn't really fancy this style of beer at this time and couldn't finish it all.

0.5l bottle, huge thanks guys! Hazy red to dark amber body, off-white head. Caramelly and dried-fruit driven big malty aroma. Creamy, sweetish taste, dried fruit and caramel, with light chocolate touches. Quite nice, above average!

Heuer ist es mir endlich gelungen, ein paar Fläschla des legendären Meinel-Bräu Absolvinator zu ergattern, direkt aus dem Brauereiverkauf in Hof. - Dunkles Kupferrotbraun, klar; reichlich Schaum. - In der Nase dichtes dunkles Malz, feine Lakritze, Mokka, nur eine Andeutung herbalen Hopfens. - Antrunk satt und weich dunkelmalzig mit feinen Röstaromen, Mokka, Bitterschokolade und dezenter Kirsche, schön kontrastiert von frischer zitroniger Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig; perfekt kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang kakaobitter und hintergründig hopfenherb. - Ungewöhnlich eleganter, ausgereifter Doppelbock, zwar sortentypisch dicht dunkelmalzig aber vergleichsweise leicht und rund, nicht so fett und plump wie manche. Draught @ Meinel Bas, Hof. Pours ruby Dark amber with a small off white head. Dark fruit, toffee, bread and caramel. Full bodied. Intense and rich!

Dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit mit geringer beiger Schaumkrone. Geruch intensiv malzig, röstig, Karamell, reife Früchte, leicht alkoholisch. Geschmack nach reifen dunklen Beeren, Karamell, Röstmalz, leicht alkoholisch.

500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing, mahagony colour with late awakening, average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, ochre head. Dark malty aroma has hints of cherries, red berries, (hazel-)nuts, a touch of nougat and milk chocolate. Taste is minimally to moderately sweet dark malty, hints of hazelnuts, Brazil nut, some nougat; slightly sticky palate. Constantly carrying a dry touch of nut pellicle that counterbalances the malt sweetness; nice, nuttily Doppelbock.

Aroma is somewhat malty with bread and caramel. Flavour is slightly sweet with malty notes, some syrup and hints of caramel. Quite thin for a doppelbock.
