Bottle from Edeka Getränkemarkt, Zolling and consumed at home. Had this Thursday 29th April 2021 listening to three tracks off of the new Squid album Bright Green Field which is released next Friday. Pours deep gold in colour with a white head. Light carbonation, a light floral edge to an otherwise malty nose. Pleasant moutheel, fruity, a little syrup or honey, very little bitterness. All told this is good but clearly lacking in a few key areas.

330ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Weak, grainy, minimally starchy, pale malty aroma, very cautious fruity and grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, pale malty, slightly fruity hoppy, a touch of pear, apple, minimally strawy overtones; mildly bitter hoppy finish. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Rather clean, balanced - not bad.

Danke an Marc. Grainy smooth beginning. Easy to drink, grainy with a neutral finish.

Gold with a foamy white head that soon fades completely. Aroma is floral, faint lemony note, kind of absent overall. Taste is mildly sweet with some warm, grainy bitterness at the finish. Feels thin, like the raw alcohol is just under the surface. Not the best Maibock.

Bottle. Clear light gold/yellow feat. a small white head which vanishes immediately. Aroma of grains, malts, German hops and some booziness. Taste is more grains, honey, straw and grapes. Low to medium bitterness. Sweetness is well kept in check. Strong carbonation. Alright.

Helles Bockbier mit 16 % Stammwürze und 6,4 % Alkohol. Das Flaschenetikett gibt zahlreiche Informationen zu den verwendeten Rohstoffen und zum Herstellungsprozess - sehr gut. Helle Farbe, kaum Schaumentwicklung. Geruch sehr frisch fruchtig mit deutlichen Spuren von Sekt. Und das ist genau das was man auch geschmacklich bekommt. Angenehm bittere Note im Endteil - nicht stark, aber genug um den richtigen Schlusspunkt zu setzen. Recht weich. Guter Kompromiss aus Süffigkeit und Substanz.

Hell malziger, süß herber Antrunk. Die Süße bleibt leider dominierend, keine Bitterkeit. Hell bleibend, zum Ende hin trockener. Okay, süffig. 10/9/10/8//9

Pours a clear golden color, topped with a small white frotyh head, slowly settling down. Mild malty aroa with some gentle spices. Taste is sweet and malty, a bit grassy bitter in the finish. Slightly honey-like presence. Very light body.
