Bottled. A dark golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has insanely notes of ginger on a light malty background. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of ginger on a malty background, leading to a dry ginger finish. The body is light. Too much ginger for my liking.

From a 330ml bottle on 19/10/2010. Smells like ginger beer, and tastes like a cross between ginger beer and a shandy. Very sweet and lacks any bitterness to balance it out. Can’t help thinking this is misdescribed as a summer ale, because it’s barely identifiable as a beer. Pretty bad.

Bottle. Clear pale gold, little head. Pleasant, unusual aroma - citrus, flowers - but artificial and more like a fruit soda than a beer. Light body and medium carbonation. Nasty flavour. The foretaste is alcopop - fizzy fruity soda - witha flat midtaste and then an unplesant bitter finish. I was unsure as to whether this finish was so bad because it was so ill-matched to the foretaste or whether it was just bad in its own right. I think it is the latter - intrinsically nasty - it’s not a hoppy bitterness but something like burnt ginseng. Overall - horrible - I understand why the label says "drink ice cold with a wedge of orange" - to ensure you don’t actually taste it.

Bottle 330ml.Clear light yellow orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, spicy, giner, honey notes, light to moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090102]

Süßlicher Ingwer-Geruch. Wässriger Antrunk mit leichtem Kräuterton, etwas Ingwer. Süßlich verwässerter Mittelteil, etwas herb, erfrischend. Muffig-kräuterartiger Abgang, weiter sehr wässrig. Nicht wirklich gelungen. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,6,7,4,7,3 - 5,10

Bottle in New Zealand. Bronze beer with a no head but the body is quite active. The aroma is weak and the flavour is like ginger ale and quite sweet. Overall a low standard beer, probably not a very good idea in general to mix honey with beer.
