(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a short and slightly off-white foamy head. Bready and delicately buttery malty aroma with traces of caramel and grains, accompanied by a tinge of mildly herbal and woody hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Bready malty and delicately grainy malty base with subtle fruity accents, hints of anise far in the background; sweet malty finish with a mildly flowery and woody hoppy touch; the alcohol is present but non-disturbing. 14.IX.14

01.08.2014, tap sample @ Altes Mädchen Braugasthaus, Hamburg:
Tiny shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, worth, hay, caramel, wet grain, nuts, "knekk". Taste is slightly sweet, caramel malts, hay, wet grain, weeds, nuts, grass, flowers, cereal. Little bitterness, slightly dry and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough, a little boring...

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts intense malty, strong, light alcoholic. Light fruity like apricot. Dry-malty finish, warming. Not bad!

750ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly grainy, sweet-ish malty aroma, a touch of pale, watery honey, cautious floral hoppy overtones. Taste is initially flat bitter hoppy, sweet malty background with a honey touch gains weight in the middle part, bitter hop predominates again in the last third - bitterness is of mineral, medicamentous kind, Aspirin-like, without aromatic addendum, therefore less welcome if not bothersome compared to the crisp-effect it has in IPAs with a much higher IBU-rate. Sadly a presumably well crafted, nicely working malt basis is ruined by madcap hop usage.

0,33 l bottle, good looking label artwork. Pale orange, nearly clear in the glass, very small head. Fresh hop and malt in a low dosis on the nose. Starts sweet malt with grain, little bit bready. The three on the label named hops are discreet in the background. Low fruity sweetness, light alcoholic and bitterness. Okay.
