Draught, clear deep orange to light red colour, aroma of passion fruit, lychee and pomello with just a hint of malt in the back, flavour of citrus and pine with a medium mellow bitterness and light bready malt in the back. Refreshing and very good.

Bottle @ The Oarsman, Carrick BBE 30/05/14 [240514]
Deep amber, hazy, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of piney hops, tropical fruits, resinous hops, caramel
Taste of caramel malts, piney hops, caramelised orange malts, tangerine, bitter grapefruit zest hops, over malty though
Palate - soft carb, medium body, oily, smooth, sweet malts and bitter hop foreground. Finish as main flavour, bitter zest, very bitter linger
Overall - Maybe over malty as close to the BBE, but has stood up quite well. To re-rate with a fresh bottle

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Lovely amber color, medium effervescent off white head that dissipated quickly, almost no lacing but a little webbing. Floral hop bouquet that’s slightly different than expected due to the unusual hops used. Caramel, brown bread, some piney hop resin too. Flavor doesn’t quite live up to the aroma here, slightly watered down mouthfeel, the malt profile is slightly sweeter than desired which takes away from the tropical fruit and floral hop bitterness. Overall an interesting beer that can be slightly tweaked to make something really special.

Draught. Murky amber with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet candy hop. Flavour is blood orange, bitter hop, syrupy sugar, on a fruity bitter finish with alco notes.
