Poured up on tap at Thombansen’s into their 50cl glass that has a narrow bottom and a big globe like spherical upper half (allowing for some nice concentrated aromatics) where it has a deep slightly hazy gold body that supports a full tight light tan head that leaves behind sheet lacing. The aroma has an initial mix of Hefe muted banana and cloves as well as a faint smooth smoke note and then heading into a mild herbal grassy sort of floral cantaloupe sensation. The taste begins with a soft touch of malts and thin banana notes before some hoppy bitterness murmurs to the surface. It then gets into floral and herbal and a bit spicy hops that have a modest hop bitterness. The banana and flowery floral notes grow some into the finish. Pretty nice. Like all Thombansen’s offerings fresh and on tap is the only way to go.
