[5/4/13] Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. Hazy dark amber. Aroma of alcohol, resinous hops, malt and vegetal notes. Sweet malty flavor with some honey notes and a bitter finish with resinous hops. Medium to full-bodied, a bit oily.

CBC. Hazy dark amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 040513

Bottled @ de Molen. Cloudy copper color, short head. Aroma has some hops, not as big as you mostly see. Probably they didnt use any backhopping. Hops are bit sweet fruity and grassy. Lots of caramel malt, some raisin. Very malty taste, quite sweet to back up the intense bitterness. It leans towards a barley wine. For a DIPA it’s not hoppy enough and for a barley wine it needs some age to develop the sweetness. Still a nice drink.

Tap @ CBC. Dark amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted and hop. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, hop, bitter, sweet, toffee and medium bitter.

Sample @ CBC. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, bitter hops, malt and alcohol.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque amber with a small, off-white head. Fairly rich body. Loads of sweet caramel here and overripe fruit. Strangely minerally - even salty. Solid hop bite - if a little greasy perhaps. Ends bitter with some spiciness. Quite some alcohol burn at the end. 080513

Fat på CBC 2013. Smak och doft av humle, malt, tropsik frukt. Alldeles för söt och blir en aning kvalmig. Örtig med stor beska.

On tap at CBC, pours an opaque dark mahogany with a huge beige head. Aroma is very syrupy, with loads of maple syrup, not much in the hop department. Flavour is cloyingly sweet and syrupy, with nasty syrupy sweet notes, no hint of hops, and loads of syrupy malts. This is crap, really. Not well-crafted by any respectable measure. Drain pour.
