Thank you for sharing! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2015. Golden, little white head. Nose is cooked cabbage, corn, heavy sugar & candy sweetness, nasty with corn. Taste is cooked cabbage, corn, candy sugar, heavy on sweetness, mixed with all of those things. Heavily oily body. Nope.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, light herbal hops. Light bitter hoppy flavour, herbal, fruity notes. Malty finish, hard bitter.

The proverbial ’daughter’ of Modeste and Alfoncine, all organic beers made for Biofresh in Gavere; this is apparently an organic pale lager. Cream white, moussy, lacing and fairly stable head over a pure, clear golden blonde beer with vivid fizz. Aroma of freshly baked white bread, freshly cut grass, young cheese and quite a lot of iron. Crisp and refreshing in the mouth, with a light, somewhat bready pale malt sweetishness in onset, strong minerally carbonation adding a sourish touch, then very metallic, the malt sweetishness continuing as well as a faint grainy sourishness, with a late and subtle but still apparent, grassy hop bitterness in the finish, a bit herbal, with somewhat dryish effect; the sharp carbonation persists into the throat, but this does not bother me in a pale lager and does add some body. A simple and straightforward pale lager, but genuine and quenching, I’d prefer this over any macro lager anytime. I have serious doubts whether this qualifies as a true ’Pilsener’, though.
