Bottle. Black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head, which disappears somewhat fast. Aroma is chocolate, some liquorice root, mild roasted tones with some slight alcohol sweetness. Flavour is alcohol, fudge, some chili, vanilla, liquorice and some chocolate to it. Big and actually rather smooth to drink.

Bottle at home, 4th January 14. Shit the bed this is a chilli beer. Pours a deep black, viscous drink, small head. Aroma is chocolate, a little heat some liquorice. Taste is liquorice, chocolate, soon turning to hot chilli rush, short lived, but enough for a hit, almost makes you shout Oi Zeus! However the pepper complemented the beer, both on flavour and the overall style and body of the drink, good stuff

Bottle directly from Siren Brewery, Finchampstead, Berkshire, 20th November 2013, consumed at home Saturday 28th December 2013 By christ this has some heat. For reasons best known to myself I took a fairly large gulp, I had not read up on this beer so had no idea that there was a chilli element, christ its hot....Its really spicy and pours like the Torrey Canyon spilling its load onto the Cornish Coast a sheen of brown coating everything. Thick in the mouth, interestingly when I poured this there was no head however one miraculously appeared but not for long, it was small dark brown and a brief fleeting head that soon departed into the depths from where it had sprung. Its amazing what you can do to a big ballsy full on Impy Stout that you could never do to just about any other style. Another great beer from Siren, more of a niche market beer and it won’t appeal to all but I like it. Fuck me this is hot. A7 A5 T8 P5 Ov15 4.0

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, coffee and a little dark chocolate. The flavour is strong bitter with a spicy chilli alcohol liqourice palate. This really is up there amongst the burners! Full bodied, low carbonation with an oily texture. More of he same please!
