From the October 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a very dark brown color - almost black - with a small foamy beige head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was apple brandy, tart apples and apple juice. The flavor was sweet apple butter, brandy, a boozy presence that worked and apple cider. Very long sweet boozy apple butter finish. Thick and full body. Amazing!!

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. It's a massive head on this little fellow. Deep dark cloudy plumaged in color and the head is heavy lacing, lasting and beige in color. The nose on this has something I really can dig. A sweet fudge like sweetness with dark dried fruits, old cellar, lots of fireworks and gunpowder, sweet licorice and even a trace of earth. Mmhhh.. Lovely! The same goes for the taste. It's really sweet this! Almost a bit to much. Loaded with sherry and, yeah, brandy it's giving off a strong powerful sweetness on my tongue. There is also something I the background that's reminding me of ripe berries. Really good in small quantities. A full bottle? Perhaps a bit on the heavy side in one setting, but I really like this. 03.05.2013

Tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013 - Session 1. Pours clear, red-brown with a tight, tan cream head. Rich, deep aroma of ripe fruits, bread and toffee. Big sweet flavor with rich sugars, toasty bread, dried fruits, toffee. Full bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Moderate warmth to end, very sweet, lightly syrupy, with candied fruits, bread, some further toffee. Big and ballsy. Heavy stuff but I was really into it.
