Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Deep amber-brown. Nice aroma of caramel, chocolate, dark bread, toast, a bit of nuts, and a fruity note. Sweet flavor with caramel, nuts, chocolate, toast, a fruity note. Medium-bodied. A decent Doppelbock.

The beer starts fresh and malty. Round with hints of roast in the aftertaste. Caramel, dried plums but highly drinkable. Fresh and smooth, a bit viscous to the end. Round and great, deep malty, nice and round.

Bottle(@Rudat, DO): Hazy, deep ruby-amber coloured, small, but stable & creamy off-white head with a little lace; moderate caramelly-nutty nose with a solid touch of dried fruits; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; dryish(!) bitter and caramelly-fruity finish, some warming alcohol in the finish. Good, hoppy, not sweet and well balanced Doppelbock…

330ml bottle. Barely clear, orangey copper-ish chestnut colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly sweet-ish, malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of toffee, alcoholic overtones. Taste is nuttily malty, minimally papery, slightly alcoholic finish. Thin and light.
