Bottled@Beer Hunters, Pori. Black colour, not much head. Aroma is wood, some floral, mild earthy and some alcohol notes to it. Flavour is big time wood, some floral, alcoholic and mild herbal and plum to it. Has aged quite well

(Bottle) Black colour with brief, foamy, brown head. Malty, roasted, vinous nose with espresso, dark chocolate, liquorice, wood, soy sauce and a touch of calvados. Malty, roasted taste with notes of strong black coffee, liquorice, soy sauce, wood, black rye bread, molasses, hints of calvados and a balanced roasty bitterness in a vinous finish. Full body, quite sweet. Tasty and quite powerful with lots of coffee and liquorice, and a generous wood character. Great beer!

Bottle 0.33l, probably 2013 edition, trade with Camons, many many thanks! Absolutely black, opaque. AROMA- roasted malts, dark chocolate, nuts, calvados, alcohol, pralines. FLAVOR- smooth, slightly sweet, bitter, warming, very dark chocolate, sweetened coffee, nuts, calvados, pralines. Full bodied. Great one.

Bottle shared with a friend. Pours black with a shortlisting but very creamy, almost mocca-like brown head. Aroma is extremely boozy, parfumey, chocolate, coffee, licorice and calvados bourbon-like sweetness. This is my first Calvados-aged beer! Taste is extremely sweet, thick and rich of coffee, chocolate and a nice roastedness to it. Bittersweet and roasted dry finish. Good alcohol to the taste but not as extreme as the smell, which is good. Low carbonation and a thick creamy body.

Bottle. Creamy lightbrown good mostly deminishing head. Black colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter wonderfull complex flavor. calvados barrel just present. Long great heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.

Bodney Towers Bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Opaque black - brown beer, tidy dark tan head. Airy palate, semi dry and with reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, a little tangy dark chocolate. Trace of licorice. Pretty mellow Calvados on the back end, tangy generic fruits too. Exceptionally light and drinkable.
