In the spirit of tenacity and camaraderie, Mettle was first created to highlight the milestone of our inaugural year as a brewery. With the intense dry-hop duo of Amarillo and Citra, this medium-bodied Double IPA beckons with aromatics of pineapple, mango, orange, and a hoppy dankness. A fusion of orange, melon, light pineapple, and a subtle pithiness round out the palate with a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel. We continue to brew Mettle in recognition of our devoted following of hopheads that have supported us from the very beginning.

(Can, 0.473 l - canned on 31/01/18, thanks VastActiv, at tiong's tasting, 20180309) The beer poured golden and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, sea water and grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tangerine, grapefruit, citricness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, hoppy and bitter. A very good and balanced hoppy brew.

At the source: pours hazy with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruits and sharp hops. Pretty good combo. Fairly bitter. Deceivingly light on the malt backbone. Great hop character.

473ml can, thanks Jan! Canned 11/09/17. Pours cloudy orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of sweet juicy fruits, loads of tropical notes, pine, citrus, grapefruit and resin. Taste is crisp, juicy fruity, massively hoppy and herbal with some citrus, pine, grass, grapefruit, resin and malts. Finish is crisp, hoppy, citrusy and grassy with some herbal hops, pine, grapefruit, tropical notes and mango. Really balanced and tasty. Awesome.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver, can
Cloudy pale blond color. Zesty and lemony aroma. Lean mouthfeel, off-dry, crisp base, a bit wheaty, with pungent notes of resiny hops.
Very good, a bit dirty.

Hazy, not much head. Soft body, touch of yeastiness, and a hint of gooseberry, pretty bitter. Excellent.
