(Draught at De Drie Dorstige Herten, Utrecht, 14 Feb 2019) Reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty nose with dark bread, dried fruit, raisins and prunes. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, dried fruit, raisins, prunes and a mild spicy bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, but fairly uncomplicated and hardly daring. Quite enjoyable.

After immediately finding my home after THT April 18. Well after a touristic route past Makuns glass deposit. Dark brown with white head. Sweet roasty and toasty malts. Light chocolate, dates. Moderate sweet and quite bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation. Quite a heavy bready cake.

Medium, cream-beige head over deep cola-coloured beer. Dark cookies, parsley, melanoidins, dark green leaves, molasses, dark sweet bread. Dark malts, again parsley, brown bread, bit of raisins welled in water. Medium bodied at best. Bit watery feel, certainly for a 7% dubbel. Superfluous. Jens @Slot Oostende proves it can be done differently.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel and some spice. Taste is really sweet, with caramelised malt, toffee, raisin and a little spice. Just typical.

Bottle @ home. Clear autumn red to brown color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is malts, leaves, caramel. Taste malts, caramel, light toffee, a hint of chocolate in the background, sweetish with a slight bitter touch in the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Quite decent.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a fizzy clear medium brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, sweet malt, woody hop. The flavour is moderate sweet with a smooth woody hop, light medicinal bitter palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle shared thanks to deanso, let’s get to these milestones tasting. Dark reddish brown with beige head. Minerals, sand, raisins, dried vegetables, green nuts, grassy. Medium sweet with light bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. I don’t get this, tastes like a total mess to me.
