Draught @ the brewpub Towering mango head, dense & stable over dark cola-coloured beer. Roasted notes, bit sweet, and -strange- a little bit like cola, but no trace of acidity suggested. Ripe banana. Dry, hardly any restsugars, almost ashy; bitterness appearing gradually. Bit of dark bread. Feels better bodied than it probably is, well-carbonated. Nice basic porter, not too sweet.

Bottle drunk watching The Matrix. Black as a stout, tiny brown head, mild roast malt nose with hints of sweetened coffee. The flavor is pretty simple, chocolate malt and a hint of sweetness, not a lot of bitterness. Pretty smooth drinking at least. Decent Porter.

On tap at the source in Bolzano/Bozen - Italy. Pours black with caramel highlights, gassy and medium ivory foam. Nose: roast coffee, cocoa powder. Mouth: watery easy porter, roast is balanced, bitterness is medium-low. More than solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle split at LKS ’Beers of London’ Tasting, high up thanks to Kenny 10/12/14. Mahogany brown with moderate beige spotting and edgework. Nose is nutty, cocoa rub, light smoke, toffee. Taste comprises light cocoa, spice, dark malt, toffee, brown sugar. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so, basic porter affair.

Bottle shared in London. Pours deep brown with a dense, foamy tan head. The nose has crispy paper, dried berries, dusty cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with some milk chocolate, slight roast, more paper, dry caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish with lots of papery caramel character, dirt, dried berries. Ho hum.
