On tap at Three Penny Taproom.
Pourer into an English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown color with a finger and a half's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated at a fine pace.
Aroma: deep roasted nuts, smooth dark chocolatey tones, sweet smooth roastiness, light smooth coffee, refined earthy sweetness, quaint caramel/toffee clean malts
Flavor: wraps up all the prior noted aromas to blend malty smooth sweet and clean then moves into a brisk aftertaste of nuts, roast and clean earthiness
Texture: light to medium bodied, great sessionability, very smooth along my tongue, finishes semi-crisp and nutty
Overall: an absolutely wonderful take on an English brown ale well worthy of returning to.

Roast and caramel. Some macadamia. Light fig. Very dark but translucent mahogany copper pour with good head retention. Bitter end with just a touch of caramel. Very nice balance. Tap at Churchkey.

Rating number 7,100. 16 ounce can from the brewery. Majestic pour of translucent mahogany brown liquid is topped by a frothy tan head. Subtle roasted malt aroma hints at cocoa and toasted bread. Flavor initially is bittersweet chocolate, black pepper and brewed coffee. Complex with layered flavors that develop as brew warms. Despite the complex flavors, this is a smooth, drinkable beer. Finishes dry and piney. Magnificent. As usual, Hill Farmstead does not disappoint.

Maitseb nagu väga hästi tehtud klassikaline brown ale - magus, mõru, kohv, röst, nats nisu. Problem on selles, et brown ale on väga igav stiil e. Isegi väga hästi tehtud õlu on ikka mega igav.

Half pour at Pizza Boy. Dark brown pour, silky off-white head, lacing. Light roasty aroma with notes of chocolate. Taste brings a nice light bitter, roasty bite, burnt toast, chocolate, coffee. Smooth, world class.
