Inspired by traditional Belgian beers, the 1830 amber is malty in character, with a caramelized and slightly roasted scent. Alcohol content of 7%, offering a sharp bitterness reinforced by sweet aromas resulting from the fermentation. Rich and compact foam.

Pours bit unclear amber, good white head. Smell is weak,somewhat sweet and malty. Taste is malty, aromatic ambermalts, with the paired metazllicness ( also from the malts ) very mild bitterness, and not too sweet. Good MF and carbo. Agreeable amber, but not an enrichment to our curently existing Belgian beers.

9/I/16 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ Akke's place - BB: VII/2017 (2016-21) Thanks to Beerlover_Ben for picking this one up for me!

Clear deep orange beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: fruity, sweet, sugary, overripe banana, spicy, caramel. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, caramel, sugary, bit sourish, spices, coriander, hint of cloves. Aftertaste: very spicy, bit sourish, little hoppy, sugary, sweet overripe banana.
