Bottle thanks to CGarvie. It pours darkest brown with a small tan head. The nose is toasty, brown sugar, roasty, burnt sugar, charred wood and earthy coffee. The taste is bitter-sweet, toasty, cocoa, brown sugar, oily, gluten free chocolate cake, earth and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Simple, easy going sweet stout.

On cask @ the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - close to opaque black with a nice head. Nose - loads of toffee/caramel, some spice and of course, the salty edge. Taste - all of what was on the nose but so well integrated, there’s salty toffee, but spicy toffee too as well as spice mix, all going on at the same time. Also, salty biscuits in some parts. Palate - medium bodied with a big creamy texture that’s also quite tangy. A balanced finish rounds it off and you’re asking for more. Overall - delicious. These guys are great on cask!

500ml bottle from cornelius. Pours dark brown, no real head. Gentle carbonation. Aromas of dark stone fruit, chocolate, tobacco, light leather. Salt comes through on the taste, alongside sweet chocolate and light toffee. A little thin maybe, but nice.

Bottle from The Beerhive and can from Cork & Cask. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of chocolate, cigar, Marmite, honeycomb and digestive biscuits. Flavour of almonds, fig, salted caramel, milk chocolate and prune. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft fizz. A tasty, complex Sweet Stout. Another winner from Fallen.

Cask at the Guildford Arms - Edinburgh. Pours rich brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma holds some milk chocolate and subtle lacto sugars and roasted malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with lightly sticky dark sugars, toasted malts, nips of dark fruits, low bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; nicely conditioned. Finishes with further dark malt character, cocoa, slight burnt earth, a bit of toasted caramel, raisin. Tasty beer.
