Black, thick and silky, like the voice of James Brown. This is our tribute to "the godfather" of soul, funk and gospel. Chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, bright fruity and hoppy aftertaste with an impressive bitterness. Originally brewed in collaboration with Spb Funk Community.

50 cl bottle @ ISKTR ’16
Aroma has ash, vichy elements and some licorice. Flavour has strong salty licorice, soy sauce and dry woody finish with mild rubbery notes. More of a foreign stout – and not very good one.

500ml bottle from Koht, Tallinn. Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of hops, earthy and slightly roasty with hints of vinegar. Taste is vinegary sourish, roasty and hoppy with hints of earthiness. Finish is slightly sour and roasty with some hoppiness and chocolate. Feels a bit off.

Keg at Craft Bier Cafe, St. Petersburg. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, charred wood, ash and salted caramel. The taste is smooth, bitter roast, charred wood, pepper, dark chocolate, liquorice and a touch of dark fruits with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and velvety mouth-feel. Flavoursome and well-rounded. So smooth. Pretty great!
