A full-bodied, tropical Double IPA which is bursting full of fruity, dry, sticky dank hops! The team at Whiplash aren't giving too much away with this one...all we know is there is Citra hops in there!

Can from O’Brien’s, Athlone [300516]
Amber, very hazy, thin white head
Aroma of strong tropical fruit hops, citrus zest, orange zest
Taste of bitter grapefruit, bitter orange zest, tropical fruits, mango, sweet pale fruity malts, like the malts in this, no alcohol, nice light malts, no caramel crap, juicy
Palate - Soft carb. medium body, light for 8.5%, booze very well hidden, good bitter sweet balance. Finish is a bit dry, bitter zest hops, bit grassy
Overall - Very easy drinking for the abv, well balanced, lots of flavour in this

At a tasting, many many thanks, smallish creamy head, lightly hazy lightish orange color, aroma of pomelo, onion and pine, with some tropical fruits in the back, dominant onion flavor with some tropical fruits, medium bitterness, light bodied. Excellent and really sessionable for a DIPA.

Can sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Tom L. Slightly hazy golden. Great hoppy aroma full of overripe tropical fruits. a bit oniony. Flavor has mild sweetish malt, very fruity hops, and a mild to moderate bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Very good, easy-drinking and refreshing.

330ml can brought back from Fran Well Easterfest. Alex Lawes brewed and canned it the week before, can’t get much fresher than that. Unbelievable grapefruit and passion fruit aroma. Equally delicious flavour, nice simple malt bill doesn’t overshadow the hops but compliments perfectly. A true rival to OF&F here. Well done Alex, can’t wait to try the porter.
