330ml bottle from Galeria Kaufhof at Alexanderplatz. Deep, dark-brown pour with reddish highlights. Initial good amount of beige foam, quickly diminishing. Smell of dark malts. Semi-sweet grainy malts in flavour with an impact of liquorice. Noticeable, but not distracting, alcohol. Medium bodied. Absolutely some beer enjoyment in this one (hotel room, Berlin 20.11.2009).

bottle, thank you MoritzF! Clear dark brown colour, medium-size head. Intensive malty aroma. Full-bodied, intensive malty flavours dominate, hints of dark chocolate and caramel, roasted malt as well. Oily, tastes almost like liquid chocolate with a touch of booze.

(33cl bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a reddish shine and a big, light-beige foamy head. Slightly sweet roast-malty and subtle fruity (plums) nose with strong notes of alcohol. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, quite slim body impression although it has 7.5% abv; soft carbonation. Roasty malty, bread-crusty taste; short, slightly bitter finish with an alcoholic burn at the very end. Mediocre.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, dark brown with a warm tint of red and a small, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and alcohol. Medium body with sweetish, roasted malt and a very biting alcohol feel. Very subdued bitterness. A disappointing and simple brew. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is bottom fermented and hence really a Baltic Porter. 271207

Test vom 14.9.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,10,10,13,5,10 - 10,20
