Part of the Calambic series, Central Valley Breakfast Sour is aged in used wine barrels for one year with the finest fruit from the Central Valley of California. It is a bright and beautiful golden sour with an abundance of fresh pressed white grapefruit juice. The tart beginnings are rounded by the lusciousness from the pears and the delicate, exotic perfume of the lychee fruit. A pleasurable ale to enjoy with brunch or anytime of the day.

Bottle from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is sort of pedio, but there’s a lot of "citrus" sour aspect. Med body. Flavor is mildly mouth wrenching sour. Yet there’s a sweetness that suggests a fair amount of ripe fruits. Some musty wood, but mostly a fruity, pedio/lactic? sour. It’s amazing! A flavorful contradiction.
