Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy orange colored brew with an mellow dry bitter taste, nicely hints of toffee and oranges. Gentle feel due the New Zealandic hops.

Bottle. Orange blonde. Malt, milk, soft herbal notes and a hnt of caramel in the aroma. Malty sweetish, slightly herbal flavor with toffee. Not really great.

Piètre prestation de la brasserie Frankendael avec cette IPA dont à la fois les arômes et la structure sont inaboutis. Du côté des arômes, nous sommes sur du miel, caramel, orange et poivre. C'est peu emballant et l'ennui est vite au rendez-vous. Côté structure, la bière est trop sucrée, pas assez amère (26 d'IBU) et avec un alcool n'arrivant pas à soutenir l'ensemble (pourtant avec un 7,5% honorable). Bref, nous ne sommes pas loin du Mello-drame. En verre ce n'est pas exceptionnel non plus : blond orangé limpide, sans mousse et avec une faible effervescence. La douceur se ressent au nez sur le miel, l'orange, légèrement épicé et herbacé. L'attaque manque de présence aromatique et marque immédiatement la douceur avec des arômes de miel et de caramel accompagnés de poivre et d'une orange très feutrée. La deuxième bouche est heureusement plus ample en bouche et plus intense en arômes avec une orange qui s'affirme. L'amertume monte également d'un cran mais reste insuffisante. L'arrière bouche est la plus amère sur des arômes qui se rapprochent allègrement des bitters italiens. Le contraste avec la ligne principale n'est pas des plus heureux. Le final retombe quant à lui trop rapidement avec une amertume plus épurée. En dehors de toute considération relative au brassage, le duo East Kent Holdings et Wakatu est clairement à remettre en cause.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, murky golden colour with a short and off-white foamy head. Dusty, bready and slightly oxidized malty nose with notes of orange peel, caramel and slightly herbal spice. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a tame carbonation. Slightly bready and juicy malty base with hoppy and yeasty spicy, accompanied by notes of orange zests; stickily sweet malty and restrained hop bitter finish. Utterly disappointing. 02.V.18

Sampled @CRAFT Frankfurt 2018. A hazy light orange golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of strong sweet malt, yeast, bitter hops. Taste of strong grainy malt, yeast, sweet fruits.

Lichtbruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is zoet en redelijk krachtig met iets van zoet fruit en ietwat ananas. Niet echt een IPA maar desondanks best goed.
