Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Nice fresh chocolate beginning. Not too intense but fresh and roasted. Mild and smooth, nice chocolate body, moderate bitter, not too dry. Nice and highly drinkable. Round and smooth.

Wässrig malziger Antrunk, laff. Es ist kein klares Profil erkennbar, Mut der Zeit immerhin etwas klarer, leicht karamellig. 10/7/7/7//7

(bottle) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a fluffy but non persistent off-white foamy head. Sweet toasty malty aroma with aromatic notes of caramel and Bavarian Blockmalz, accompanied by herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a pleasantly soft carbonation. Toasty malty base with caramel and a good balance of herbal hops; quite dry and bitter-sweet toasty finish with a present herbal hops character. Well-rounded Dunkel (07.VII.09).

Bottle (a Bodensee Bottle!): Clear copper coloured, smaller collapsing lacy off-white head; clean sweetish dark-malty and caramelly nose with a touch of a toasted malt; solid sweet(-malty) and slightly bitter flavour; light to medium bodied; lingering, well balanced sweet-bitter finish with a touch of unfermented roasted barley. Very pleasant, very well crafted Dunkel...........
