Golden Ale by an emigrated Slovenian brewer in Austria, dodging the bureaucratic difficulties, making it theoretically Austrian but practically Slovenian - hence its massive popularity there. Pours hazy yellow with a lasting, frothy, white head; some lacing. Aroma of lemon zest, lemongrass, tangerine, grain, white bread, fruity yoghurt, pineapple, passionfruit. It tastes light fruity sweet, notes of pineapple & passionfruit, and light to medium hoppy bitter, grapefruity but backed by a basic 'graininess'; slightly wheaty sour too. Dry, grainy finish, bit lemony, grapefruity, floral & fruity hoppy. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation. An interesting drink, refreshing but elegantly hoppy and modern.

330ml can shared with Finn at Vertshuset Skarven. Filmy layer over a misty golden body, spotty lacing down the glass. Moderate aroma of passion fruits. Blended taste of bread, citrus, and a touch of biscuit. Refreshing fruity ending. Medium bodied. Pretty alright. (Tromsø 25.08.2018).

Can, 0.33l. Cloudy golden pour, one finger soapy off-white head. Low to medium retention, good lacing. Nose is grassy and herbal, mild citrus notes. Thin body, soft carbonation. Average texture, light mouthfeel. Mild bitter taste with some citrus sourness. Aroma like the nose, simple and straightforward but works well. Grainy, herbal and grassy. Citrus fruits, hoppy aftertaste. Regular finish, slightly dry. Overall, ok. Simple and refreshing, good example of the style.

On tap at Lajbah, pours a cloudy yellow with a large fluffy white head. Aroma brings out fresh doughy malt, with crisp biscuity notes and light floral hops. Flavour is bright and super fresh, with lots of fresh doughy bread, lightly biscuity malt and fresh floral hops. Bright and crisp. Very nice.

Eingetrübte, gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Frischer, hopfiger, grasiger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hopfig, grasig mit Citrus, leicht malzig. Leicht süß mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, leichter Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure. Sehr erfrischend.

0,33 l can. Pours hazy golden yellow with a finger of frothy white head. Aroma is intense citrus, lemon zest with some grainy malt in the background. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is quite light, texture is thin, carbonation lively. Finish is medium, light bitterness and lemon zest. Light acidity lingers on for a while. I had Deetz on tap many times and this particular can was the hoppiest as far as I can remember.

330ml can, from trade with Sebelinz I think! Many thanks. Pours a generally clear gold, large fluffy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts. Taste is largely pale malts, a touch grassy with a peppery hop presence. Straight-up unfussy quencher and my 6,000th beer on RB. Fancy that.
