Huge thanks to Donnie (GenDV138) for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, huge head. Wonderful fruity aroma, really tropical. Starts strong, dry-hoppy, interesting fruity notes of apricot, lemon, grapefruit. Bitter background. Finish less fruity, more grasy-hoppy, quite dry. Interesting one!

Amber with thick head and lasting laces. Tropical fruit aroma, mango and pineapple. Mango tones in thw taste, full malty body and full but balanced bitterness.

Not impressed with this madmex tap selection. Pale yellow tho it has a good aroma of fruit. Good lacing too. Initially fruity but then that bitch lets you know its an IPA. Big evolving IPA effects coat the mouth. Strong and bitter fer sure. If there is co2 in this, you’d never know from the overwhelming ipa mouth coating business. In yer face you bitch. Why does everything have to be an IPA these days?

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 7/24/2016. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops, fruity/spicy yeast, tropical fruit, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, light caramel, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate amount of pine bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, melon, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, pine, light banana/bubblegum, pepper, clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity/spicy yeast, tropical fruit, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness/yeast spiciness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice fruited Belgian IPA. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops, fruity/spicy yeast, tropical fruit, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. Comparing the base beer; this had less yeast and malt influence in the flavors; and was a bit drier as well. Well balanced hop and fruit flavors. A very enjoyable offering, but I still prefer the base beer.

Bottle: Clear, copper-amber with a small beige head. Pineapple, mango, melon aroma. Taste is the same...but less. Strong scent, weaker flavour. A bit of citrus-peel bitter. Good, but expected more after the initial whiff.

Bottle at the March DC Tasting. Poured an amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was some light pine with some juicy pineapple citrus, mango, tropical fruit notes. Strange, kind of a mango, fruity hoppy character.
