This summery barrel aged beer is delicious, refreshing and unique, perfect for warm weather days. With an inviting raspberry and elderflower aroma, there is also depth and warmth from the barrel maturation.
We’ve stayed true to the farmhouse style, brewing the beer with ale and acid malt, then fermenting it was a wild saison yeast. Then we matured the beer in barrels containing heaps of Scottish raspberries.

Clear yellow pour, with small white head. Aroma Is grassy, with some slight raspberry whisps and vanilla and wood. This doesn't seem like a saison at all. It's basically a blonde ale barrel aged with some raspberry flavouring. Meh.

Almost clear pink tinted gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth light palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation on the back end. Smooth light creamy malts with a soft raspberry, very slightly candyish and certainly not acidic in any way. Floral raspberry and a mellow soft vanilla oak. Smooth finish. Another fairly drinkable IG affair.

Bottled (Thanks Patte!). Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is raspberries, some fruits, mild earth, herbs, grass and mild yeast. Flavour is raspberries, fruits, some yeast, mild earth and herbs. Kind of artificial strawberries, perfumed soap and some mild floral notes in the finish.

(Bottle) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Fruity, spicy nose with bread, apples, vanilla, estery banana, wood and raspberries. Fruity, herbal taste with notes of dough, wood, vanilla, apples, banana, raspberries and herbs. Hardly any bitterness. Light body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting and quite different. Lacking some bitterness, but it has some interesting fruity, herbal notes of banana, vanilla and apples to add to the raspberry. Nice one.

2017 bottle, best before May 2018, so it's a little past it. Whatever. Pours a cloudy, yellow color, with a medium, off-white, fleeting head. The aroma is bread dough, sawdust, lemon zest, and raspberry cream. Sweet and malty, with a mild, yeasty bitterness. Light to medium body, with a drying, dusty, crisp, and clean palate. This is a surprisingly pleasant, refreshing, and mildly fruity saison.

$9.29 pint+ bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a dusting of a head. Aroma is hay, very light funk, unripened raspberry. Flavor is rich medium-sweet raspberry with a hint of tartness, hay, floral notes, light funk. Above average.

On tap. Pours a clear gold-yellow with a very thin, short lived, white head that fully dissipates. Mild aroma of grainy malt, tart raspberry, oak and light floral. Sweet flavour of pale malt, raspberry, oak, floral, light yeast and a faint earthy spice in a dry finish. Light body with a thin, watery texture and flat carbonation. I was looking forward to trying this as I normally like their beer, but this was disappointing. Disappointing but not terrible. An ok fruit beer but a poor saison.

Bottle bought in Leipzig. Smooth and mild sweetish fruity woody beginning. Wood, grain, smooth and slightly sweetish yeast. The Raspberries are there, hidden in the back but fruity round. Easy to drink with a nice and round smooth sweetish fruity ending. Dense and rich, not too aromaful, fruity sweetish with a nice yeast profile. But no funk or sourness.
