Bottle from Mitra Bunnik as Slaapmutske Dubbel Glutenvrij, 7.4 % ABV, BB 29/09/18, large sample. Hazy dark brown color, medium rocky head. Aroma is slight spicy, bit burned malts, sweet, slight chocolate, bit molasses. Spicy bitterness in taste, slight burned caramel, slight sugary sweetness. For a belgian dubbel, nicely balanced and decent in taste. Quite ok.

Bottle @ home. Brown color, red glare coming through when held into the light, full sized a bit soapy beige head that diminishes fairly quickly. Not a lot of aroma. Taste malts, earthy, dusty, lightly sweetish, caramel. Average to decent body, medium carbonation. Meh.

Bottle at home. Seriously, whats up with these few breweries that do so much ’hippie’-like beers ? Bio, Organic, sugarfree, ... Not against these beers at all, just wondering why different versions of the same beer exist side by side, and why it are Always the same breweries ( and only them, mostly ) doing it... Slaapmutske is def. a fine example of this, with a wide selection for every allergic person in the world i guess ( being it physically, or by believes ) can’t wait for the next hype, which should be vegan-approved beers I guess. pours dark brown, ok white head. Smell is rather sweet, but not fresh at all. Taste is sharp, bit bitter, sweet ( earthy , some leaves ) not too shabby, yet unfortunately very hidden under massive overcarbonation once again... I like it, but i’d like it above average if the carbonation was somewhat doable

Roodbruin bier met stevig bruin schuim. Smaak is zoet en krachtig, licht bitter hoppig met iets van karamel en anijs.

Bottle from LDW drinks, Eke. Hazy brown colour, lots of creamy beige foam. Malty with sweet notes of caramel and brown sugar. Light bitter finish. Well balanced. Bit thin but easy drinkable. Good gluten free beer.
