Muddy reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, sour and strawberry. Flavor is very sweet and light acidic. Quite sweet and light acidic finish. Much too sweet and sticky. Unbalanced. 010411

bottle@Pater’s Vaetje: basically tasted like strawberry juice, sweet with some syrup, certainly not bad but also far from impressive

Bottle. Pours with a clear orange-amber body with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry preserves, wood shavings, attic, dust and leather. Taste is leather, lightly tart, strawberries, horse hair, corn syrup. Fizzy.

Terrific strawberry lambic. Light and somewhat syrupy. Dirty brown pour. Very smooth strawberry taste with light malts. Probably, too sweet and sugary for most. It’s definitely not for everyone. Rated 2/10/03 Originally 4.6

Bottle, 3.5%. Cloudy dark red brown colour. Good strawberry flavour, sweet and citric. Like many other fruit beers, but more citric.

Standard Cheapeau. Fruit. Sweet with lots of yeast. No particular kind of fruit is recognizable, certainly not strawberry. But I do like the massive amount of yeast and the sweetness, for a dessert beer.

Consumed at Zythos, St Niklaas, Belgium, 08-03-09 this came courtesy of Ian and Mes, cheers Pours a slightly hazy orange amber with a white head. There are sweet berries in there but its sort of masked by an artificial berry type syrup, its ok and I’ve had worse but that is hardly a ringing endorsement. A6 A3 F5 P2 OV8 2.4

Sampled at Zythos 2009. Hazy orange pink, lasting beige head. Slight sour aroma. Raspberry jam. Yep, it’s a drinkable fruity alcopop.

Tap at ’t Brugs Beertje. Hazy ruby color with a fine pinkish head. Strong strawberry flavor; sweet followed by sour: Very light sour. Finishes sweetish, but the lactic lurks beneath. High quality soda with alcohol. Tasty.
